The Government of Bangladesh (English: Government of Bangladesh) is headed by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who chooses all other ministers. The Prime Minister and other major high-ranking ministers received membership of the highest decision making committee, which is known as the cabinet.

The current Prime Minister of Bangladesh is Sheikh Hasina, the President of Bangladesh Awami League, who was appointed by the President of Bangladesh on January 6, 2009 as a result of the victory of the general elections on 29 December 2008. Bangladesh Awami League was administered by him and its 14-party grand alliance won the post of a two-third majority elected as a Member of Parliament and numerically occupied 230 seats among 299 seats.
